Restore recently deleted work
Recently Deleted helps authorized users review and restore deleted work while it is still recoverable. Items are grouped by type, and each row shows how many days remain before the item is no longer recoverable.
Use Recently Deleted to:
- Find deleted work by item type.
- Check how many days remain before recovery ends.
- Restore recoverable items.
- Distinguish deleted work from archived work.
Terms you may see:
- Deleted means the item was removed from normal views and may be recoverable for a limited time.
- Days left indicates how long the item may remain available for restore.
- Restore returns the item to the app when recovery is allowed.
- Archived is different from deleted; archived items are managed in Archived settings.
Before you start
- You need permission to view Recently Deleted.
- You need restore permission for the item type.
- The item must still be inside the recoverable period.
How deleted work is restored
- Open Settings.
- Open Recently Deleted.
- Expand the relevant item type group.
- Check the item name, last update date, and days remaining.
- Select Restore.
- Return to the original feature area and verify the item is available.
Expected outcome: Recoverable deleted work is restored before it is permanently removed.

- Reapply filters or views if the item does not appear immediately.
- Restore the parent folder, list, or record first when a child item is still hard to find.
- Check permissions if other users still cannot access it.
Troubleshooting
The deleted item is not listed
- Symptom: You cannot find the item in Recently Deleted.
- Cause: It may be in another Space, archived instead of deleted, already restored, permanently removed, or hidden by permissions.
- Resolution:
- Confirm the active Space.
- Check Archived settings.
- Search the original feature area.
- Ask an owner/admin to check if you lack access.
Restore does not appear
- Symptom: You can see the item but cannot restore it.
- Cause: Your role may not allow restore for that item type, or the recovery period may have ended.
- Resolution:
- Ask a Space owner/admin to restore the item.
- Review your role permissions.
- Confirm the item still has days remaining.
Restored item is still missing
- Symptom: The app says the item was restored, but you cannot see it.
- Cause: It may be inside a folder, hidden by filters, restricted by permissions, or still syncing.
- Resolution:
- Refresh the app.
- Clear filters in the relevant feature.
- Search by item name.
- Check whether the parent item also needs to be restored.
FAQ
Is deleted work kept forever?
No. Recently Deleted is a recovery area, not permanent storage. Restore important work as soon as possible.
What is the difference between archived and deleted?
Archived work is intentionally hidden from active views but can usually be reopened. Deleted work is removed and may only be restorable for a limited period.
Can I restore nested work if its parent was deleted?
Restore the parent item first when possible. Some child items may remain hard to find until the parent folder, list, or record is available again.
