Manage account access and preferences

Your account controls who you are in the app, how you sign in, which Spaces you can reach, and how the app is personalized for you. Use My Account for profile details, password changes, theme, language, timezone, notification preferences, support entry points, and sign-out.

Use this area when you need to:

  1. Create an account or sign in.
  2. Confirm the signed-in email and profile name.
  3. Change profile image, full name, or password.
  4. Set personal display preferences such as theme, language, timezone, date format, and time format.
  5. Manage email notifications, work hours, calendar settings, and footer navigation.
  6. Open Help, ask for a feature, report an issue, or contact support.
  7. Run Run Data Sync when support asks you to refresh local data.
  8. Sign out or delete the account when needed.

Terms you may see:

  • Account is your personal identity in the product.
  • Space access depends on the signed-in account, Space membership, role, permissions, and plan availability.
  • Profile is what other users see in collaboration areas.
  • Preferences affect only your own app experience.
  • Support actions live in Help and the Support section of My Account.

  • You need an account to enter the signed-in app.
  • Account settings require you to be signed in.

  • Space content requires membership in the active Space.

How account access works

  1. Open the app header or your avatar/account control.
  2. Open My Account when you need account-level actions.
  3. Review the profile section to confirm the signed-in identity.
  4. Use User Settings for personal display and notification preferences.
  5. Use Support for Run Data Sync, Help, and support email.
  6. Use More for website, policy, app version, account deletion, and sign-out actions.

Expected outcome: You can confirm the signed-in account, update personal settings, find help, and troubleshoot access without leaving the app context.

Confirm the signed-in account

  1. Open My Account from the header or avatar.
  2. Review the email address in the profile section.
  3. If the email is not the one you expected, choose Sign Out.
  4. Sign in again with the correct email, provider, or invite account.

Expected outcome: You know whether missing Spaces or invites are caused by using the wrong account.

Open Help or submit feedback

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Choose Help under Support.
  3. Search for the article or process you need.
  4. Use Ask for new feature or Report an issue from Help when you need to send feedback.

Expected outcome: Help and feedback stay inside the app, while the help website remains available for reading articles outside the app.

Update personal preferences

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Use Dark Mode for Auto, On, or Off.
  3. Use User Settings for Language, Timezone, Date Format, and Time Format.
  4. Reopen or refresh the page if a visual preference does not update immediately.

Expected outcome: The app uses your chosen theme, language, timezone, date format, and time format.

Review pending Space invites

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Look for Space Invitations.
  3. Open the pending invite entry.
  4. Accept or decline the invite from the invite view.

Expected outcome: You can join Spaces that invited the signed-in email.

Leave the session safely

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Choose Sign Out.
  3. Wait for the sign-out state to complete.
  4. Return to sign-in when you need to access the app again.

Expected outcome: The current browser or device no longer has an active app session.

Troubleshooting

My Account does not open

  • Symptom: Selecting the avatar or account control has no visible effect.
  • Cause: The app may still be loading, another dialog may be active, or the browser may have stale app state.
  • Resolution:
    1. Wait for the current page to finish loading.
    2. Close open dialogs.
    3. Refresh the app once.
    4. Sign out and sign back in if the menu still does not open.

A setting is disabled

  • Symptom: A profile, support, notification, or account action cannot be selected.
  • Cause: You may be offline, not fully signed in, or missing access for the related Space or plan-controlled feature.
  • Resolution:
    1. Confirm the app is online.
    2. Confirm the signed-in email.
    3. Ask a Space owner/admin to confirm access if the action relates to Space settings.
    4. Contact support if the action stays disabled after reconnecting.

Help opens but does not show the expected guide

  • Symptom: You can read an article, but no guide starts.
  • Resolution:
    1. Open Help from inside the signed-in app.
    2. Search for the process by action name.
    3. Use the article instructions if no guide is available.
    4. Report an issue from Help if a documented guide does not start.

You cannot see an expected Space or item

  • Symptom: A Space, List, Doc, Dashboard, or action is missing.
  • Cause: You may be signed in with the wrong account, removed from the Space, blocked by role, or looking at deleted/archived content.
  • Resolution:
    1. Confirm the signed-in email in My Account.
    2. Confirm the active Space.
    3. Ask an owner/admin to verify membership and role.
    4. See Troubleshoot access and permission issues.

Is My Account the same as Space settings?

No. My Account controls your personal account and preferences. Space settings control the active Space and affect other members.

Where are Ask for new feature and Report an issue?

Open Help from the header or My Account. The Help panel includes Ask for new feature and Report an issue.

Where should I start for access problems?

Start by confirming the signed-in email in My Account, then confirm the active Space and role with a Space owner/admin.
