Accept a Space invite

A Space invite gives you access to an existing Space. You can join from an invite link, an invite code, or a pending invite shown in Space setup.

Terms you may see:

• Invite link opens the app and carries the invite code into the join flow.
• Invite code can be entered manually in the Join Space dialog.
• Space Invitations is the panel that shows pending invites when the app finds them.
• Accept adds the invited Space to your account.
• Decline rejects the invite and removes it from the pending list.
• Invited account is the email address or sign-in identity the owner/admin intended to invite.
• Member role determines what you can do after joining.

Before you start

• You need a valid invite link, invite code, or pending invite.
• You must sign in with the account that should join the Space.
• The invite must not be expired, deleted, revoked, or blocked by account rules.
• The Space owner/admin controls your final role and permissions.

How Space invites work

1. A Space owner/admin invites you by email or creates an invite code/link.
2. You open the invite link, enter the invite code, or accept a pending invite.
3. The app checks the invite and your signed-in account.
4. If the invite is valid, the app adds the Space to your account.
5. The Space becomes available from your Space switcher.

Expected outcome: You can open the invited Space and work according to the role assigned by the owner/admin.

Accept an invite link

1. Open the invite link from the message you received.
2. Sign in if prompted.
3. Confirm you are using the intended account.
4. Continue through Space setup if the app asks for a join code confirmation.
5. Confirm the Space appears in your Space switcher.

Expected outcome: The invited Space appears in your available Spaces.

Join with an invite code

1. Open Space setup.
2. Choose Join space.
3. Paste the invite code into Enter Space Join Code.
4. Choose Submit.
5. Wait for the Space to open.

Expected outcome: The Space is added to your account if the code is valid.

Accept a pending invite from Space setup

1. Open Space setup.
2. Find the Space Invitations panel.
3. Review the Space name and inviter details when available.
4. Choose Accept for the invite you want to join.
5. Wait for the app to refresh and show the Space.

Expected outcome: The invite is removed from pending invites and the Space becomes available to your account.

Decline a pending invite

1. Open Space setup.
2. Find the Space Invitations panel.
3. Choose Decline for the invite you do not want to join.
4. Confirm the invite disappears from the pending list.

Expected outcome: The invite is declined and the Space is not added to your account.

Confirm your access after joining

1. Open the Space switcher.
2. Select the joined Space.
3. Open Collections or the expected work area.
4. If work is missing, ask the Space owner/admin to confirm your role and item access.

Space name	The Space you were invited to join.
Inviter text	Shows who invited you when that information is available.
Accept	Accepts the invite and adds the Space.

Join Space dialog

Control or field	What it does	Validation or state
Enter Space Join Code	Accepts a manual invite code.	Required before Submit is enabled.
Submit	Checks and submits the invite code.	Shows loading while the app checks the code.
Cancel or Done	Closes the dialog.	No invite code is submitted.

Invite code management by an owner/admin

Owners/admins can manage invite codes from Members settings:

Area	What an owner/admin can do
Email tab	Invite one or more email addresses and assign a role.
Code tab	Generate an invite code/link for a selected role.
Invite Codes table	Copy a code, copy a link, delete a code, or restore a deleted code.

Troubleshooting

Invite link opens but the Space does not appear

• Symptom: You opened the link, signed in, but cannot find the Space.
• Cause: You may have signed in with the wrong account, the invite may be invalid, or the join action may not have completed.
• Resolution:
  1. Confirm the signed-in email from the account menu.
  2. Return to Space setup and choose Join space.
  3. Paste the invite code again if you have it.
  4. Ask the inviter to confirm your invite status.

Invite code is rejected

• Symptom: The Join Space dialog does not accept the code.
• Cause: The code may be expired, mistyped, deleted, revoked, already used in a way that blocks reuse, or intended for another account.
• Resolution:
  1. Copy and paste the full code again.
  2. Remove spaces before or after the code.
  3. Confirm you are signed in with the intended account.
  4. Ask the Space owner/admin for a new code or restored invite link.

Pending invite is not shown

• Symptom: You expected an invite in Space setup, but Space Invitations is empty or missing.
• Cause: You may be signed in with a different account, the invite may have been declined, deleted, revoked, or not synced yet.
• Resolution:
  1. Confirm the signed-in email.
  2. Refresh Space setup.
  3. Ask the Space owner/admin to check whether your invite is pending.
  4. Ask for a new invite if needed.

You joined the Space but cannot perform an action

• Symptom: You can open the Space, but some buttons or settings are hidden or disabled.
• Cause: Your role may not allow that action, or item-level access may be restricted.
• Resolution:
  1. Ask the Space owner/admin to confirm your role.
  2. Ask whether the item is private or restricted.
  3. See Troubleshoot access and permission issues.

You accepted the invite with the wrong account

• Symptom: The wrong account has the Space, or the intended account still cannot access it.
• Cause: The invite was accepted while signed in with another identity.
• Resolution:
  1. Sign out from the wrong account.
  2. Sign in with the intended account.
  3. Ask the Space owner/admin to resend the invite if needed.

FAQ

Can I accept an invite before signing in?

Yes. Opening an invite can send you through sign-in first, then continue to Space setup.

Can I share my invite link with someone else?

Do not forward invite links unless the Space owner/admin says it is allowed. Invites may be tied to an intended account or permission level.

What happens after I join?

The Space becomes available to your account. What you can see and edit depends on your role and item permissions.
