Create a Dashboard from a template
The dashboard template gallery helps you start with a recommended set of widgets instead of building every widget manually.
Use templates when you want to:
- Create a dashboard quickly.
- Start with widgets that match a common review pattern.
- Preview the dashboard before applying it.
- Use a template as a starting point and adjust it later.
Use Create from scratch when you already know which widgets you want.
Before you start
- You must be in the correct Space.
- You need dashboard create/edit access.
- The dashboard must be empty for the template gallery to be shown.
- Applying a template is unavailable if another template action is already running.
- A dashboard can have up to 15 widgets.

FAQ
Can I change a dashboard after applying a template?
Yes. A template is a starting point. If you have edit access, you can add, remove, duplicate, move, resize, and configure widgets.
Can I apply more than one template to the same dashboard?
The template gallery is intended for empty dashboards. Existing dashboards should be adjusted with Add Widget.
Does Create from scratch skip templates forever?
No. It simply starts with manual widget selection for that dashboard.
