Connect Google or Outlook Calendar

Calendar connections let the app display Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar events next to dated app work. They also support provider event creation when your provider account allows it.

Use calendar connections to:

  1. Connect a Google Calendar account.
  2. Connect an Outlook Calendar account.
  3. Show provider calendar sources in My Calendar filters.
  4. Create provider events with Google Meet or Microsoft Teams options when available.
  5. Remove a connected provider account when it should no longer appear.

Where Calendar Connections Appear

You can manage provider calendars from two places:

Before you start

  • Integration access must be allowed for your role and plan.
  • You need internet access.
  • The provider account must allow calendar access.
  • Browser redirects or mobile provider windows must be allowed.
  • In embedded or restricted browser contexts, the app may ask you to manage calendars from the main hosted app.

How calendar data works

  1. Start the connection from My Calendar filters or Settings > Integrations.
  2. Choose Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
  3. Sign in to the provider account.
  4. Approve calendar access.
  5. Return to the app after the provider completes authorization.
  6. Refresh Calendar if the new source is not visible immediately.
  7. Use filters to include the provider calendar source.

Expected outcome: The connected provider calendar appears as a selectable source in My Calendar.

Troubleshooting

Connection does not complete

  • Symptom: Provider sign-in opens, but the app does not show the connection.
  • Cause: Authorization may have been cancelled, the redirect may have been blocked, the app may be offline, or the selected account may not allow calendar access.
  • Resolution:
    1. Confirm you are online.
    2. Retry the connection.
    3. Allow redirects or popups for the app.
    4. Confirm the provider account is correct.
    5. Report the provider name and approximate time if it still fails.

The wrong account is connected

  • Symptom: Calendar events belong to a different Google or Microsoft account.
  • Cause: The browser or provider window was already signed in to another account.
  • Resolution:
    1. Delete the connected provider account in the app.
    2. Sign out of the wrong provider account in the browser if needed.
    3. Reconnect with the intended account.

Calendar says no internet

  • Symptom: Calendar integration management shows an offline state.
  • Cause: Provider connection and refresh require network access.
  • Resolution:
    1. Reconnect to the internet.
    2. Reopen provider management.
    3. Refresh Calendar.
    4. Retry the connection or removal action.

Google Meet or Microsoft Teams is not available

  • Symptom: The expected meeting option is missing.
  • Cause: Meeting options depend on the selected provider source and provider account permissions.
  • Resolution:
    1. Confirm you selected a Google source for Google Meet or an Outlook source for Microsoft Teams.
    2. Confirm the provider account can create online meetings.
    3. Save without a meeting link if the provider option is unavailable.

FAQ

Yes, when your role, plan, and provider accounts allow it.

What happens when I delete an integration?

The provider source is removed from the app. Your original provider calendar remains in Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
