Track time with Timesheets
Timesheets and time logs help teams record effort against tasks and subtasks. Use them when time matters for reporting, billing review, planning accuracy, or workload visibility.
Use Timesheets to:
- Start and stop a live timer.
- Add a manual time entry.
- Link time to a task or subtask.
- Mark time as billable or non-billable.
- Add notes and tags.
- Review time by user, date, task, duration, and estimate status.

- Time log is one saved record of work time.

Before you start
- Your role must allow time tracking.
- Logging time for another person requires time tracking settings access.
- A task or subtask must be selected before manual time can be useful for reporting.
How time tracking works
- Open Timesheets from the header or open a task timer.
- Start a live timer or create a manual entry.
- Select the task or subtask.
- Confirm user, duration, start/stop time, notes, tags, and billable state.
- Save the entry.
- Review grouped entries and totals.
Expected outcome: Time is recorded against the correct work and included in timesheet totals.
Troubleshooting
Time tracking is missing
- Symptom: You cannot see the timer or create time log action.
- Cause: Time tracking may be disabled or your role may not allow it.
- Resolution:
- Confirm the active Space.
- Ask a Space admin to confirm time tracking is enabled.
- Ask whether your role can view and create time logs.
A saved entry is missing from Timesheets
- Symptom: A time entry was saved but is not visible.
- Cause: The task, Space, user, or selected period may not match the current review.
- Resolution:
- Open the related task and review its time entries.
- Confirm the time entry owner.
- Confirm the entry date.
- Refresh the app if needed.
FAQ
Does billable change task status?
No. Billable only classifies the time entry.
Can I track time without a task?
The app is designed around task-linked time. Select the correct task or subtask before saving manual entries.
