Create, snooze, and pause reminders
The reminder form is the source of truth for follow-up timing. Use it to create new reminders, update existing reminders, assign responsibility, and control repeat behavior.
Use the reminder form when you need to:
- Create a reminder from the header, Reminders area, or a related work surface.
- Edit the reminder name.
- Choose the Space and owner.
- Set when the reminder should return to attention.
- Choose repeat behavior.
- Delete a reminder that is no longer needed.

Repeat Behavior

Before you start
- The owner must be a member of the selected Space.
- New reminders require Space, owner, and name before Create is available.
- Editing another person’s reminder depends on your role and the Space configuration.
Create a reminder
- Open the reminder create action.
- Choose the Space if it is not already selected.
- Choose the owner.
- Enter a clear reminder name.
- Set Remind at.
- Choose the repeat option.
- Select Create.
Expected outcome: The reminder is saved and appears in the selected Space.
Edit a reminder
- Open Reminders.
- Select the reminder or use its more actions menu.
- Update the name, timing, repeat behavior, owner, or Space details available to you.
- Select Save or close after the update applies.
Expected outcome: The reminder keeps the updated timing and responsibility.
Delete a reminder
- Open the reminder.
- Open the more actions menu.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm only when the reminder is no longer needed.
Expected outcome: The reminder is removed from active reminder lists.
Snooze or pause a reminder
Some reminder attention flows can offer snooze or turn-off behavior. Use snooze when the reminder should come back later. Use turn off or pause when it should remain available but stop actively prompting until it is updated or resumed.
Validation Rules
Create is disabled when:
- Space is missing.
- Owner is missing.
- Reminder name is blank.
- The selected Space does not allow reminder creation for your role.
Troubleshooting
Create is disabled
- Symptom: The Create button cannot be selected.
- Cause: Required fields are missing or your role cannot create reminders in the selected Space.
- Resolution:
- Enter a reminder name.
- Select a Space.
- Select an owner from that Space.
- Ask a Space admin to confirm reminder access if the button remains disabled.
Owner choices look wrong
- Symptom: The expected owner is not available.
- Cause: Owner choices come from the selected Space.
- Resolution:
- Confirm the selected Space.
- Confirm the person is a member of that Space.
- Change the Space first, then choose the owner again.
Repeat time looks different after changing repeat type
- Symptom: The form shows a time-only picker for some repeat options.
- Cause: Hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reminders use repeat-specific timing behavior.
- Resolution:
- Confirm the repeat option.
- Adjust the displayed time.
- Save and review the reminder in the list.
FAQ
Does deleting a reminder delete a task?
No. Deleting a reminder removes that reminder item. It does not delete an unrelated task.
Why does changing Space affect owner options?
Owners are selected from members of the reminder’s Space.
